Eviction Prevention

Midland Prevention Project (MPP) is an eviction prevention program designed to help fill gaps in our homeless services system, offered by Family Promise of Midland.

Application Requirements:

  1. Must have a child(ren) under the age of 18 years old. 

2. Must have a valid lease in your name and child(ren) name 

3. Must have an eviction letter or final notice/shut-off letter in their name

4. Must have a valid form of ID (State-issued/Driver’s License, Passport, or visa)

5. Must have verification of full-time employment income 

6. Must be able to sustain housing (<85% debt to income ratio) 

7. Must be able to contribute a minimum of 25% towards the need

If you meet the above qualifications, you MUST also agree to the prevention guidelines: Family must be willing to engage in case management services based on the recommendation of the Outreach Manager. Family must complete case management to be eligible for more financial support within a calendar year through partner agencies.

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. If you meet the qualifications of the program, an FP outreach case manager will be in touch. A return phone call does not guarantee funding.

Family Promise of Midland has been awarded a very limited amount of funds to assist with eviction prevention. Not all applicants will qualify. If you meet the qualifications of the program, an FP outreach case manager will be in touch.

The following prescreen application must be completed in full to be considered.

Any application that is not complete will be denied.

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. If you meet the qualifications of the program, an FP outreach case manager will be in touch.

Prescreening applications are ONLINE ONLY. Please do not call or email. You will be required to provide the below documentation within one business day when requested. If the information is not received upon request, your application will be denied.

A FP Case Manager will require the following documentation if your application is approved:

·       Photo ID and Social Security Card

·       Valid Lease in applicant’s (must include child(ren))

·       Eviction Notice with amount owed

·       A birth record or other form of ID of children on the lease

·       Proof of income (pay stubs)

·       Current Bank Statement
